Time For A New Tank

I've been debating recently about purchasing a 6-10 gallon tank. Knowing the size, I'm thinking of either getting a betta or dwarf puffer. Which should I go for? There are so many pros and cons of each I can't decide.

I've never had a dwarf puffer,but i do have 2 bettas.......bettas are awsome fish,they know there owners,beg for attention,and are perfectly content to live alone......in a 6-10 gallon tank it would be very happy.

puffer have exactly the same charatcers as betta, and look so cute fanning around in the water and blowing the substrate around. they are just as fullfilling as our lovely bettas, i would have the betta though

dwarf puffers are far more interesting than bettas.

I heard I cannot have tank mates for puffers but what about bettas? Of course no fin nippers for bettas.

I would add some cories, and maybe platies. Depends upon the betta though; some stand tank mates, others don't.
