snowball pleco (LDA33), they are beutiful to watch and if provided enough hiding places so they can hide if they want to you get to see alot of them and there easy to keep.

Scientific Name : Baryancistrus sp. LDA33
Family : Loricariidae
Common Name : Snowball Pleco
Maximum Length : 25cm / 9.8"
Origin : Rio Tapajos, Brazil - A black water river
pH Level : 6.0 - 7.4

Things to note: The Snowball Pleco is interesting to keep and is best identified by its teeth, which are made up of four large rasping plates.

Personal comments : What sets this species aside from so many other black plecos with white spots? Possibly the larger size of the spots, as well as the active nature of the fish.

Tips : LDA33 are mostly similar. Go for the one that catches your eye

Adolfi Cory
a Wonderful addition to a good sized community, buying smaller ones lets you watch as they grow readily. add at least 6 to get the most activity out of them

Common Name : Adolfi Cory
Maximum Length : 2"
pH Level : 7 (6-8 can be accepted but the closer to neutral you are the beter off they will be)

(Again not my picture as im not good with a camera)

Not keen on the pleco.
Was thinking a community tank with Tetars and Guppies etc.
Somthing with colour and cheer

I do like Corys tho they are nice.

I love guppies! I keep all males, they are really bright and active, always on the go. I would definitely recommend them. I know that some tetras can be a bit nippy with them though so you'd need to check that out before deciding which you want.

how about a couple of lyretailed swords? with something along the line of tetras or something?
with the swords you could also keep some guppies if you wanted to.
good luck anyway :good:

I would also strongly recommend german blue rams. They cannot be beat for freshwater color, IMO.

Hi Leedsboi86 :)

Any peacful community tank benefits from a school of corys, and they come in a variety of colors and patterns. These little fish are active and lively too.

This tank has 3 female gouramis along with C. venezuelanus, C. sp. CW010 (orange laser) and C. axelrodi:
