Tilapia Mariae, (spotted Tilapia)

Hi has anyone kept (or keeps) Spotted Tilapia. I am finding very limited info on the net about them (and some very confilcting info? eg tank sizes 3ft ok?) and what I am reading is making my head spin as different sites say different things. From what I have gathered so far they are ok with plecs and other cichlids (but doesnt say which, I am contemplating a seperate tank with cichlids as I have a serverum)

Any advice would be great

Your looking at a 100G for a Male which is capable of reaching sizes of upto 16", although 12" is much more likely with Females getting to 8-10"

Tankmates have to be carefully selected as they can become highly aggressive as they mature, case of trial and error really

Interestingly enough did you know that Tilapia are the 3rd most important fish in Aquaculture?
