Hey ok well i got a new tank a few days ago and went to a few fish stores to begin my search of how many and what type of fish i want in the tank. Right now i have a few guppys, a small molly and a swordtail. I was thinking of adding another swordtail, a dwarf gourami and some sort of tight schooling fish. What are some fish that school tightly? I have a 20 gallon tank so i would rather get smaller fish so i could get more. Thanks

All fish will school less tightly as they grow comfortable most will spread out. Fish school as a defensive behavior, so they really do it when they are scared.
The best most easily available schooling fish are probably harlequin tetras.

Il add to that, i have 6 Harlequin tetras, they are the most active crazy fish i have ever seen. They hang around together and love swimming through the bubbles. There great little fish!

I agree with this. I have 12 neons in my tank and when i first put them in they stuck together but now they have settled down they are all over the tank.

Ohh ok i get it. Thanks allot! I was looking around and saw the Rummy Nose Tetra, i love the way they look and i love that they school. Are they difficult to care for? And are they to active for a 20 gallon tank?
