Tiger V Neon

Just added a few neons today and almost immediately a albino tiger barb chased it, took it in its mouth and let go. Do tiger barbs eat neons?

Normally no, but tiger barbs are not very compatible with neons, and guppies and small fish like such. They will nip and in this case I bet he nipped and the neon got caught in his mouth which wiggled away. He wasnt trying to eat it as much as initiate it into his group of friends with agressive benefits. These benefits include and are limited to, constant badgering of each other and if the fish can't handle it, it will die.
