There is a way to sex them, it is called venting. Males have a V shaped vent and females have a U shaped vent.

In that tank there is like a 6 inch pleco, a molly, and a Gold Gourami.

for just the one oscar i would be looking at a rio 300 or a similar sized 4ft tank
