Tiger Oscar Food

hi can any tell me wot kind of food i can feed my tiger oscar, and a good source to get it from, he gets fed blood worm and prawn and pellet at the mo but would like to feed him a variety of food so he dont get to bored with the same old stuff can any one help thanks.

i know someone how feeds theses small fish. i know it may sound cruel but its only natural for the oscar.

please don't feed live fish - oscars don't need them.

a good varied diet including meaty food like the prawns and blood worm, a good quality cichlid stick or pellet - I'm feeding mine prima as they are small, many oscar keepers use doromin, also veg is vital - a pea or two (cooked and de-shelled), veg pellets etc. pretty much Oscars eat anything so offer variety and make sure you have a big tank with massive filtration then you will have a happy oscar.

Oscars will eat a wide variety of foods, including live fish. Most pet shop's feeder fish tanks are neglected and way way overstocked. This promotes the spread of disease and parasites. If you are going to feed live fish, do your fish a favor and raise your own. Guppies are cheap and reproduce very fast.

As above but to reiterate that live fish are neither a good balanced diet nor a dietry requirement for Oscars and fish like them that will happily eat prepared foods. If you want to feed fish as a treat get some lancefish/smelt (comes in frozen packs) which will be devoured with relish.

Mine is eating Hikari Cichlid pellets and as many meat sticks he can grab from the arowana (also from Hikari). I could swear he is also munching on the anacaris plants...
