hi, I know that tiger barbs need a larger group to keep their aggressiveness in check, but I would also like to keep some corydoras, the tank is 75l and I know corys like to be in groups, so do I have room for both groups, with a smaller number of barbs or should I go for all out barb tank?
thanks, jamie

75 litres is too small for tiger barbs

tiger barbs will eat them alive !!!
there fins are too long and will hunt them down !
i think its best to go with a more plasid fish !
:good:

I though as much :( thanks for the advise! I take it cherry barbs would be ok?

hi
as said 75L is small for tiger barbs they like a lot of swimming space in a long footprint ( ie: length of tank - hex tanks no use for them). but saying that we have kept tb's with peppered corys for over 7 years and our barbs have NEVER shown any interest in the corys ever so if you had a bigger tank in my experience it wouldnt be a problem. as for corys the more the merrier! depending again on tank size. choose corys that stay relatively small - peppers/pandas and give them a sand substrate & they will be happy :)
