Hello all!

I have some tiger barbs which were put into my tank by accident when I first started it!I went to a LFS and asked for Pentazona Barb but did not realise until they got larger that I had been given the wrong barbs. Originally this wasn't an issue since they were the first fish introduced into the tank and I stuck with them since they are quite fun to watch and always have lots of energy. However I have some Guppies, actually lots of Guppies and for a long time the Barbs and Guppies were living happily together, but lately I've noticed evidence of tail nipping (though I haven't been able to observe this behaviour myself).

Anyway, long story short - does anybody in the Reading area want to take 6 Tiger Barbs away and give them a home? I don't really know what else to do. Is it likely that one of the LFS will take them from me if there is no enthusiast locally that wants them?

Thanks!

Jon.

Hi Jon. I would take them, but I have Congo Tetras in my tank and they would suffer the same fate as the guppies. I'm sure your LFS would give you some credit for them. My local Maidenhead Aquatics always buys my unwanted floating plants. Not a lot, but every quid helps..

Thanks for the tip! I live about 5 mins from Maidenhead Aquatics at Winnersh Triangle, I'll give them a call later and see if they can help me out :D

I'm in maidenhead, happy to take em out of your hand if thomas changes his mind!

Thanks :)
