not chasing but full on head banging action lol

any ideas why they are doign this or is this commen practice for them

thanks in advance for replys

Personally I would try upping the numbers. Do you have them in long? Could be that they're also trying to be top dog.... Well, top fish.

Tigers do fight and establish a pecking order between themselves, it may be that the most dominant ones are fighting for leadership. There isnt much you can do about it really. Eight is an "ok" number and it will keep them fighting eachother instead of attacking other species of fish you may have. I have 12 young tigers in my new tank and i'm expecting some action over the next few months, you just have to ride it out.

Going by your other thread, you already have a well stocked tank, upping the numbers isnt really an option for you, it will just cause more space problems....i.e. lack of it.

Try and keep an eye out for flesh wounds, if one of them develops an open wound the others will go at it until its dead, which means you need to seperate it until it heals.
