Barbs can be nippy, and guppies with their long tails would probably be chased and nipped quite a bit.

I wouldn't say they're compatible, but other people might disagree.

I would say a big no, tiger barbs are notorious for being agressive and nippy and i don't see a group of guppys standing much chance against a shoal of tigers; there aern't realy alot of fish you can safely put with tigers realy when it comes down to it...

take it from me i tried that (wen i was new to this) and it worked for a while, about 2 days and than they chace the guppies but i theory if u have a big enough tank then it could be alrite, when i said big i mean BIG as in 1000Gl sort of big

I have with my tiger barbs:

Blue Gourami
Paradise
Albino Corys
Pleco
Keyholes
RTB shark

and have had no problems with TBarbs nipping any of them. When I first got the Paradise, it got nipped into hiding but after a few days, it realized it was bigger and now the paradise (along with the gourami and RTB) chases the barbs.

How big is the tank? I have like 9 tiger barbs in my 55 gallon and they pretty much keep any agression to themselves.

i have 6 rosy barbs with lots of community fish no problems at all n i lik ethe better than the tiger barbs so maby concider getting them n then w/e fish u want to go with them bu ti started with 2 but thats a bad idea the get nippie unless u have a group of 5 or more
