Hey! It's not the most rare and exotic fish of the tank but I have 4 tiger barbs (well, two tiger barbs and two blueish ones, they scholl together regardless) all of which are healthy and active.
One of them however has suffered some nibbling on his side-fin, probably from one of the others during their occasional arguments. Usually they recover with haste and little damage is done but this time one of them has suffered some heavy side-fin damage and barbs will turn on the injured with great haste.
He can still dart around but he has a bit of trouble controlling his direction, i've made a makeshift hospital tank with a bowl appropriatly heated and im cycling some of the tank water so he stays in a fairly familiar enviroment.
I'll be regulary providing food and checking up on him.
Does anyone see any room for improvement or any flaws in my plan?
Edit: Looks like regrowth, fin seems to be developing slightly - he tries using it now and then but soon stops.
He refused to eat whilst away from the scholl so I returned him - they don't appear to be treating him like he's injured and treat him normally and most fish now don't really pay any attention to him, is this alright?
