I've heard I can put zebra danio with these BC the danio are fast. I also know their biggest issue is fin nipping. Would they do ok with neon tetra since they don't have long fins?

Or how would neon tetra do with angel fish?

Also I have an aggressive rainbow shark. Would he probably do better with the tiger barbs or angels (and the angel tank is the biggest).

Thanks.

I never had any problems with barbs when i had tetras. but when I was living at home my dad had a 100l aguarium and came home with 6 angel fish to go with his tetras, gupps, sworttails etc. in the morning only the angel fish were alive! xx

Both zebra danios and neon tetras are fine with tiger barbs in my experience, as long as all the fish are in a proper sized shoal (at least 6 but preferably 10 or 12).

Neon tetras may be ok with angels, it depends on the angel, but do be aware that the neon tetra is the angelfish's staple food in the wild!

Not sure about the rainbow shark. Normally I'd say put it with the barbs as they're more robust and better able to cope, but their red fins might set the shark off, so it might be better with the angels.

Trying it under close observation would be my best advice.

oh and when stocking your tank and you're not sure what to put in it, ask on here first. not like numpty me wo asked at the garden centre and was told a synodontis wouldn't get any bigger than 3 inches!!!!!!!!

Thx. I've definitely ruled out putting them with the angels now!

Tiger barbs go splendidly with most other barbs and tetras, do not under any circumstances put it with slow moving or shy fish as these Will be picked on. Tigers are also very inquisitive so don't put them with very territorial fish as this may lead to quarrels in my experience
