Well she had us well and truly fooled!!!!

This little dainty girl has turned into a very aggressive MALE

I only took this first pic on the 2nd of this month and the second one I took today. Now I know why she wouldn't spawn.....luckily we were right by the spawning tank to witness her no holds barred attack on Keaper and got her out quick!!!!!

Now.......only 3 weeks later!!

He actually has the most amazing caudal. He's Halfmoon Butterfly Plakat but also showing Rosetail in his caudal

Wow he is amazing now I guess the only issue is the name maybe Tom? as in Tom Thumb then at least there's some connection! lol but still what I stunner I dont think Ive ever seen a RTHMPK before!!!! congrats!

Quite a mouthful isn't it

He's obviously a throwback as his Dad was Taro (HMBF) and Mum was a female I bred from Taro and another HM female....so this little one is an F3.

I'll try to get a decent pic of him flared up so you can see the spread of his Caudal....looks quite stunning

Wow, how fast they grow in 3 weeks. Thankfully you didn't have him/her (lol) in with other females if you thought he was a girl... . He did become a good looking boy.

We dont keep any of our bettas together anymore, even the females. Got fed up with all the fighting and fin ripping.

WooooooooooooooW! Absolutely mental! What a gorgeous boy though! You'll have some stunning pairs in a few weeks, spoilt for choice!

What a gorgeous boy he is! Looks like the male version of my female betta, "Phoenix" - and I can see how you got mixed up to begin with.

He's beautiful - and I'm jealous now... :hyper:

Thanks everyone :good: He's the sort of male PK that I've always wanted and now got by accident

For months he acted so sweet natured and has suddenly turned into a little monster, flaring at everthing in sight!!!!

well, now he got fins to flare at you with and take it as a sign that hes mature- hormones aka *lol*. I read in my Betta book that many breeders prefer 6 month olds for breeding, some apparently even go as young as 3 month old! He's apsolutely handsome, what a catch you made!

What a shock!!! He's certainly turning into a stunner!! x

Lol.....no he's one I bred last year. Only two survived and Sarette has his brother Jasper who is Superdelta and his half brother who is Rosetail.

He comes from HM lines so was a bit of a shock even though I know you can get throwbacks. I've just never had any in that particular line before
