the first picture was taken just I planted my tank with only real plants.

The next picture is just over three weeks later, and with only 1.2 WPG it's not doing to bad at all, IMHO.

I'm in the process of killing the BGA I had before the change over. I am getting a bit of algae, it's like short hair kind. But I have changed the lighting to 5 hours on, 2 off and 5 on again. I've read that it can be quite affective.

I don't like the Gymnocoronis Spilanthoides at the back on the right, even though it is growing well. Can anyone suggest another plant to replace it?

Your honest opinions are alway welcome.

I like the tank but since you want opinions.....

I don't like the red/purple plant on the LHS of the tank. You have all green plants then that which I think is too "out of place" for the others.

I do like the tank though. The driftwood looks awesome and the plants looke really healthy

Thanks. :)

I thought it broke up the green, but that personal opinions for you.

I really like the Anubias Nana on the RHS of the wood, and was thinking about adding another one a bit further up in the hollow.

I think it looks great!

Bit off the subject but I am getting a new tank next week (only a small one) but I want to use sand, can I just ask what type of sand did you use and where did you get it from?

I saw some anubias at my LFS with flowers, wow they are amazing, I must get another one.

I will be keeping the reddy/purple plant, i believe is called Hemigraphis Colorata (Crisonette Plant). I've had it for a couple of weeks now it hasn't put on any growth yet, but it hasn't died either, which is always a good sign. LOL

Still not sure what to replace the Gymnocoronis Spilanthoides with, any ideas? I was thinking maybe to use the same plants I have but more of them?

It all depends on the look you want. for bushy type try- Hemianthus micranthemoides, Eusteralis stellata, Heteranthera zosterifolia, Micranthemum umbrosum or Rotala Nanjenshan.
If its large leafed look your after try- Aponogeton , Cryptocoryne, Echinodorus, Hemigraphis or Microsorum . Most of these are a large family and have plenty of variety.
