Hi all,

Had a brainwave over the weekend and thought I'd try my hand at a planted tank. I had already ordered some things from Greenline and after a trip to LFS and pets at home to get some more plants, lights etc... I began.

I didn't put any fertiliser in the substrate, but plan on using root tabs.

I've still got some things to do on it add another light, replace the heater to something less intrusive, get an external filter and replace most of the plants from the LHS.

I would mind some help in identifying some of the plants - red one at the back, the ones in front of the bubble counter and if you can see them the ones in the back middle.

I'm using Nutrafin Plant Gro, but any advice on anything better is appreciated - notice a lot of people use Florish.

Fish wise I plan on moving the Rainbows to my other tank and having a pair of Rams (already in there), some Ottos( 3 in there just now) and some other small fish - haven't decided which but thinking of moving my neons in there, minus of this is they look good where they are - and I can't think of anything for the bottom of the tank.

Top image is before and bottom is after.

Thanks in advance

Try taking some pictures without the flash at night with just the tank lights on. Looks good though.
