as the title says i am going to explain how to keep your tanks spotless

if you have an undergravel filter and an external filter then this is 4 u

simply remove your pump/powerhead from the uptake tube on the ug filter and insert the intake ste from the external into it.

the results are gr8!!!!

i watched dirt getting sucked up for about 5 mins - non stop !!

now icame up with another idea - connect my gravel vac to the intake tube!!!!!

i did this and the gravel vac works great - its so powerfull-

my tanks now spotless

any comments appreciated - hope this improves your maintenance

thanks

Oh wait. You're describing of a different method

The one I did was where you connect an airline tube to the filter intake, then use the other end of the airline to suck the dirt up. It wasn't creating any suction, and I thought it's because the airline is too small. So I tried the same thing with the tube from the manual gravel vac as it is bigger. It did fit, but I later found out it cracked the intake tube (which made it fit in). It still didn't work though, no suction at all...

o well

it seemed to work fine for me

i supposeit depends on filter make etc lol

probs frow rates from the external
