This Sound Stupid.

this sounds stupid. can electric yellow cichlids and bumble bee cichlids breed succesfully. i just got one of each today for 50 cents apeace. my local pet store is going out of bussiness. ive never kept african cichlids before so any advice would help.

Don't think so, assuming by bumble bee and electric yellow you mean the following.

Pseudotropheus crabro - bumble bee
Labidochromis Caeruleus - Yellow Lab

Only cross breeding occurs in similar species, I think you would have about as much success mating your siamese cat with your St Bernard dog.

yes it is possible, any mbuna will breed with another, sometimes even mixes of peacocks, haps, and mbuna.
