This Is The Tank I Am Going To Buy. What U Think?

I am planning on upgrading my tank to this one here.
Does it look like a good one? i dont want to get ripped off.
I can get it for AUS$1000 including stand.

AquaGrande 120


The one i like is the AquaGrande 120, is a 285L tank. (i cant link directly to its page, you have to click on the little image of it.) And i would get it Silver Tank with Beech cabinet. (same look as the AquaGrande 180)

It looks nice, not sure what the conversion rate it for british pounds but its its abou £600 or lesst then its not bad, the rounded corners are cool.
Is it a complete set up with filter and lighting?

What do you plan keeping in it?

P.S. Is the "NOFX" bit of your name anything to do with a punk band by any chance?

Hi, it has a filter and 3 lights in the Hood.

Currently i have 2 Black Ghost Knifes, 2 Neon tetras, and a bristlenose cat. Theyre in a tank which is far too small (for the BGK's anyway). I was a noob when i bought the fish so i didnt know any better, i didnt know about this forum, and the Fish shop didnt tell me how BIG the BGK's get! around 12inches and up to 20inches plus!! and i have a 28Litre tank!!

So i thought an up size was in order. As i bought the 28litre tank as a first tank and to see if i actually like having fish (which i now love having fish!!) The 28 litre tank i have is also an AquaOne tank, and looks almost the same as the 285Litre tank, just tiny!

So ill make the 28L a quaranteen/hospital.


And yes, im a fan of NOFX

NOFX are cool, I met them in Canada about 5 years ago, my wife is fan of them aswell, infact her sig on this fish forum is "goodbye and thanks for all the fish".....Punk in Drublic is my favourite.

As for the tank, your BGK would eat your neons id have though but i might be wrong, if not id get at least 10 more neons when you upgrade. Ive just upgraded my wifes 96ltr coldwater tank due to over crowding and there is nothing more satisfying believe me.

Can anyone tell me what the 'wet and dry trickle' refers to with the filter?

Well a tube drops into the tank the is the where the water is sucked up then in the lid of the filter is all of the filter pads etc and a pipe with lots of holes will probably disperse the water throught the spounges first then the water will "tricke" over all the media and come out the bottom.

in regard 2 the aquagrande 120 i just bought one last week and i am eager to set it up, just waiting on some media and substrate to arive in the mail, i paid $1000 aus for the tank but after doing some research i found u can buy it for $750 in a s.a fish shop called "aquarium fish paradise "they also have the 180 6ft for a crazy $1369 witch if i knew i would of got instead of the 120, but sh it happens any how i bought some sweet juwel 3d backgrounds and rock terrace for the tank along with extra filtration Ehiem 2228 becouse i dont think the wet dry trickle will hold up and im paranoid about filtration, thinkin about investing in a uv sterilizer az well, i'll send some pics when its all up in running hopefully next month, till then happy fishkeeping. tbone83
