Here is my rubber lipped pleco. It's the second time I've seen him since I got him 2 weeks ago.

My Butterfly plec is a bit reclusive too. I got him a coupple ofweeks ago as well. My L134 was very shy for a couple of months but it now, relativley speaking, a party animal! As in he comes out to be hand fed wub and skips from wood to wood. I know he's out and about at night too.

That's a lovely plec. How big do they get, why are the called rubberlip? Sorry for all the questions, I just really like plecs!

I only saw my pleco at night.
But when i put him in my new main tank, He's always out now.

They get about 5 inches.
They are called rubber lipped, bulldog or rubber nose plecos because they have huge lips which make them look like they have a "nose" from if you look at them from the top. I have a striped one. There is also the regular kind and spotted. Here is the link to the planet catfish info: PLANET CATFISH
