Why not just buy a 10litre tank without a filter and just change like 1-2 litres of water every other day and have a male in it, a 10 litre plastic tank would only cost you about £10.

Actually, the dollar to pound ratio is close to 1:2. So actually 10 dollars would be about 5 pounds...unless things have changed in the month since i left London.

Whatever it is, a ten gallon tank with a group of females sounds excellent. Anyway, ten gallons is much easier to control in terms of water parameters. Also, I heard you were interested in breeding bettas. Try to get your hands on that test kit! Nitrates arer completely toxic to fry. Once everything is stable, you did your research, breed these fish!
