My new black female betta has dropsy. What do I do to cure it? She's probably had it for about 3 days because she wouldnt come out of this cave thing until today and she's swollen up like a balloon.

I've heard of limited success in curing dropsy. I'm sorry. But you should still try of course.

I've had dropsy in my guppies. I'm sorry to say that they usually died. There was only one time I was able to cure one. It was a female and I used the Jungle Fungus Clear (I think that's what it's called). I isolated her in her own tank and didn't use any filter media. I did have some airation going though. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that she pulls through. Keep us updated.
