I kid you not but I think this is a joke, The last time this happen was a test to see how much damage it could do to a bus. It just seems all well to planned to be real lol.

Thing is, the bridge is seriously narrow. It's not two-way traffic underneath it, there's traffic lights. Given that the roof stayed one side, and the rest of the bus made it through to the other side, he must've been going one helluva speed. It's downhill (slightly) but even so.
 
And techy, no, mate, it's not been planned. Whilst the bus was empty, there could have been a full commuter train going over the top at the time.

We have the same problem in my nearest town of Pangbourne.
 
This is the bridge... you cant exactly miss the yellow and black!! Nor the signs every few feet saying how high the bridge is... it is a railway bridge and is pretty busy run between Oxford and Reading!

And yet every week, massive artic lorries turn up towards the bridge following their sat nav and get stuck... there is a very busy roundabout behind them, a bridge they cant get under in front of them (which even if they had been able to get under.... they certainly couldnt have gone OVER the next toll bridge thats for sure!)... causes mayhem every week.
 
Its only one way under the bridge but no traffic lights (only a matter of time) and its give way to the people going out of Pangbourne (in direction of the photo)... but I find the posher the area you live in... the less manners people have when driving!!
 
I was sitting in the shop that is painted white next to the bridge and was looking out the window and I could clearly see a car coming towards me under the bridge and a mercedes came off the roundabout and shot past the window right up to the bridge,slammed on their brakes, reverse quickly to let car come out from under bridge and  then hammered it through forcing other cars  to suddenly pull over. That is typical drivers around here! All mercs, jags and bmws. I love sitting in the one way road in my rustbucket fiesta until they pull into the passing place on the road! They automatically think that because they have the better car, i am going to drive through a hedge? pfftt... got another thing coming.
