Sorry... but it is. No other way to explain it.

And how is that easy to clean?!?

:sick:

Ewwwwwww

by the demessions it gives it cant be more than 1/2 gallon. thats sh....

so many bettas will be floating upside down in those things.

anyone good at geometry can figure out the volume?

Size is 8 inches long by 2 inches deep by 9.5 inches high

At least they reccomend using a water conditioner before adding any fish!

But otherwise totally cruel! A Betta would at least prefer the bowl to this O ring!

when he is able to have more fun swimming around than ever
BAH!
*sniggers*
I feel sorry for any betta that has to suffer one of those.... :no:
Also as Auratus said - how is that easy to clean - you will not be able to get a gravel siphon to the bottom of that, so think of all the poo that will collect in the gravel = ammonia.

That is atrocious. I have no idea why anyone who is supposed to be "normal" would even contemplate designing that or even have the audacity of manufacturing it. Those are nothing short of animal traps and outright cruelty. Its amazing they outlaw the keeping of illegal fish species, but allow them to design and market these atrocities for living things to live in. Someone needs a reality check.

Volume... According to the BBC the formula is

V = 2(a-b )[(pi b)squared]

Where
a is the radius of the entire torus
b is the radius of the cylinder (the basic shape before it is twisted into a circle

so V=2(10.16-2.54)[(pi 2.54)(pi 2.54)]

V=15.24x63.6912533

V=971ml

So actually under a quarter of a gallon.

The formula isn't very reliable becasue I didn't take into account the glass thickness, air space or gravel, but all that decreases water volume, so...

WTF. That's all I have to say.
EDIT: No wait, question. How did they even manage to get that plant in there?

heres how they got the plant in there.

add betta, then gravel, then plant and shake untill betta floats to top and gravel/plant to bottom.

1/4 a gallon? thats worst than i thought. i see someone didnt sit though ?geometry? or spelling? lol

jeeeebus that's horrific!!

i agree with EvilMonkey666, there should be laws against this type of thing.

Im sure they soaped him up and squeezed him thru. To do a water change, all they have to do is take off the top and let the faucet run through, since the fish cant fit back out through the hole. :sad:
