No, you can't keep a betta in that tank. They do not do well in community tanks, especial with neons and guppies. Both of these fish will tear a betta to shreds.

If you want a betta, I suggest getting a 2-5 gal tank for just the betta itself. If you insist on keeping other fish with a betta, you could get a 10 gal tank and keep a small gathering of pygmy corydoras in with the betta.

These tanks are perfectly suited for a betta, I keep all of mine in them, they work perfectly for a betta. Nice and easy to clean and do maintenance on.

ohhhhhhh ok thanks

going to look into smaller tank

Aye, you can keep a betta in any tank above 2gals and they will live out long happy lives. The absolute minimum size you should ever keep a betta in is 1gal.

If you go to wal-mart, for over 15$ and under 50$ you can get anything from a 2gal to a 5.5gal kit.

Firstly...that's not a goldfish tank. And should never house a goldfish, as they are huge waste produces and grow to enormous sizes.

When you get the fry out of the tank, that would work perfectly for a betta. What are the dimensions of it, and is it filtered at all? You would need to buy a small heater for the tank too (if you didn't already have one). Just do some research on the forums and find out the proper care for a betta and you'll be in good shape :D

I'm not sure when you can take the guppy fry out...as I know nothing about the life cycle of guppies other than they are born, they eat, sleep, poo, breed, rinse wash and repeat. lol :D
