My local Petsmart has a 60 gallon tank for $250.00. I think this is a hell of a steal but the dimensions are a little awkward. The website says 48-1/4"L x 12-3/4"W x 57-3/4"H, but i think they have the height and length mixed up. Anyways, i feel it should be a bit wider and less tall. http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3804465 - the tank.

I always liked green terrors. Would this be big enough for one male and two females? Or should i get a bigger tank? also what other fish could i keep with green terrors?

Thanks.

I have the exact tank (I lost the "period" on my computer so bear with me)! It is an okay tank for a starter! I'm looking at bigger this summer! It is as reported but the 57 H is including the stand! The tank is 24 inches high! I would go with a bigger tank for 2 green terrors! This tank is just so narrow! The other thing I don't like is that The lighting is awful with two 15W florescents! Those would be my concerns! Most would say 75 gallons is minimum for two GTs!

Good Luck!

As said the tank is too narrow, and in all honesty keeping one Male and two females is only ever going to end badly, Personally would go with one with dithers or if you are intent on breeding starting with 6 juvis and then rehoming 4 once you get a pair, - adding a Male and Female won't guarantee a pair

From my experience with GT, i have 2 females and 1 male for along time now..
The females only ever flare at each other every once in a blue moon for tank dominance
and then the male will split them up by swimming between them both!

During breeding, the same happens & if the other female gets close to the 'nest'
the male will just swim next to her until she moves away !

I've even had both females share the same 'pit' at the same time for the eggs with no problems too lol.

Maybe i'm just lucky though?

P.S fair enough in the extreme long run i might & more then likely will get some problems.
