Out with the needed information.

The tank size will either be 23" long x 20" tall x 14" wide or 24" long x 22" tall x 19" wide.

Sand substrate and it will be planted.

I know for definite that I want Corydoras, either the Green Laser, Panda or Three Lined. Also 3-4 Otto's as well.

I just need some help with the rest lol.

I'm not sure whether I should go with Angels and if so how many?
Or should I go with Blue/Gold Rams?

I would like Discus but tank is way too small, same with Firemouths.

So I'm totally lost, I would like shrimp but with the fish I like I can't really see that happening. I know that I don't want guppies, platies, swordtails, mollies etc

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I dunno about the angels but I don't think the rams are a good idea with the cories simply because of the temperature requirements, if I were you I'd do
A pair/trio of some SA Cichlid (like angels but I'm not sure if they'd like the tank size)
Shoal of about 10 top/mid level tetra or similar
Shoal of about 10 cories.
Imo that would look great, just my opinion though. :good:
You could have some larger shrimp, like the fan shrimp (Singapore flower shrimp, Cameroon armoured shrimp) although they are a bit creepy to some

The fan shrimp are cool, but also expensive.

If the custom tank is a decent price it'll be 36 gallons if this conversion tool is correct, surely that's large enough, if not I'm not too bothered about not getting Angels.

Hmm I thought Cory's would be okay with the rams.

Hum diddy hum, this may prove more tricky then I thought.

Thanks for the ideas though.

Well, trouble is, there are so many kinds of fish!

What's the pH of your water?

Also, I keep corys and rams together; it might be a bit warmer than the corys prefer, but I've never had a problem. It's perfectly do-able (I keep mine at 80 deg F, 26 C)

Well I'll be using RO water from my workplace, shall get 20% discount, so why not eh :)

I thought Firemouths would be too large as surely they need more length then 24"?

I'm really liking the thought of getting Rams again :)

Well, have the Rams then :) I do think the tank's a bit small for Firemouths or Angels, tbh.

Have the corys, a pair of Rams and a nice shoal of tetras; I'd recommend Green Neons; they never seem to look much in shop tanks, but they're little beauties once you get them home :)

Hmm.

Pair of Blues? Pair of Golds? One blue, one gold?

Green Laser Corydoras? Panda Corydoras? Three Line Corydoras?

I prefer normal coloured Rams myself, but you have blue or gold if you want!

As for the corys, well, you're just being silly now. Do you want us to come along to the shop and hold your hand too?!

I'd have the Green Lasers if you can get/afford them; they're lovely fish and have a cool name ;)

Lol another tank may have been added into the mix as I was told the tall tanks aren't very good, lack of surface space, lack of oxygen and they're not very stable. So I'm thinking maybe a 30" or 36" long x 12" wide x 18" tall
