Hello. I've seen a nice hex tank in one of my LFS's, and not sure on size but its £100.00 with all the bits etc, and its fairly tall, i've read a pair of angels need 15g min, best 20+. But, if i was wanting to have all males or females would this work, or would males fight if i got just males.
If i did get just one sex, how many would i be able to get if the tank was around 15g. Also, is there a number of species as the ones in my LFS had a white/black colouration, but i've seen a few different coloured angels. Also, is it safe to mix types of angels?
(just thinking about it at this stage, nothing concrete yet).
Thank you :) .

Sorry but you need at least a 30gal for angel fish.

The smallest tank I would keep any number of angels in would be twice that... in the 30g range. Probably more for a hex tank, to be honest.

Oh, good job i asked then. Its just i read on a website that 15g is fine
http://fins.actwin.com/fish/species/angelfish.html
The minimum size tank for a breeding pair of Angelfish is 15 gallons, but should be 25 gallons or larger if you plan on leaving the fry with the parents
My mistake, it says breeding, i thought it ment as a perminant home.
And it has spec types there too.
O well :(.
