Thinking about a 5 gal

I was thinking of using a 5 gal tank for a betta. Here is a pic of the tank:

Dont worry the gold fish will be gone!!

But it has lighting like this:

My 10 gal has lighting like this:

Which one would be better? (if at all any)
Would these lights be enough for plants?

The second ones would be better. The compact flourescents... As for would the lights be enough for all plants, please read the thread entitled "Planning on upgrading my lighting", by lovebuzz... HTH
