Think My German Rams Are Preparing To Spawn.

Ive had these for around 3 months now, i bought 4 and waited to see if they pair off, I haven't noticed any paring, but just this minute looked into the tank and in the left front hand corner there has been gravel moved into a crater type shape.

There are 2 rams there, one just outside the whole and one in the hole, am i right in saying they are preparing to breed?

and if so what should i do if and when they lay eggs??

any help would be appreciated as ive never had german rams spawn before.

They will take care of the eggs. That is the beauty of cichlids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it sounds as if they will spawn, they must like your water. how successful they will be will depend on how good a parent the male is and how bad a parent the female is. what i mean will become more apparent later if the happy event does take place!
