Thin Layer Of Grease Or Something

Hi.

Ive noticed today that there has been a thin layer of grease or something on the water surface. Yesterday I added some stress zyme to the tank about one hour after adding some ammo lock, as my tests were showinh hi values. Also the water has gone slighlt cloudy, could this be a reason?

Is this normal?

Frozen and live foods can cause this, just float some kitchen papar, that should remove it.

Yeah that may be from food or from ur hand...if u had oils on ur hand...

Could really be from anything, things mentioned above, any airborne substances, fumes, aerosols etc.

If it is oil based rather than water soluble, it won't really affect the inhabitants, as it will seperate (as you can see from the film).

Floating paper towels is good but, turn off your filter or you may get a huge mussy mess in your tank!
If you cant do this, do a water change with a jug, scouping water from the top.
