Have you considered making a java moss wall?

thanks for reply,
java moss i was thinking of for a carpet to fill spaces between rocks(or some similar plant for carpeting),
which throws up another question, how do i go about this,
but i would really like a thick bushy leaf like plant for the background,
thanks.

Takashi Amano uses Eleocharis acicularis (Hairgrass) to great effect for his backgrounds in some of his scapes...

Speaking of which, there is also Limnophila aquatica. Very similar names.
Aromatica is a little more difficult IMO.
