I just treated the tank tonight as i have actually had an out break of fin rot.

carllovel1 i am also having cory breeding activity i have a spare tank ready and the anti fungus treatment but i havent got a pipette.
What would you use this for and how?

Pipette isn't really necessary,if the eggs are still sticky they stick inside the pipette which isn't good. just gently roll the eggs onto your finger and put them in a tub or tank,pop an airstone in so it is flowing over the eggs,i few days later out pops the fry

I have never used fungus treatment,just an airstone and 99.9% of the eggs hatch

ok thanks. so are the eggs ok to be out of water then? not for long obviously just to transfer them over?

Try not to keep them out of the water too long,i use a tub and has soon as i remove them from the main tank i put them straight into the tub,less than a second.

Ok, should i set the new tank up now for them? The filter is mature it just isn't running in the tank it running in the big one. So i would need to fill the small tank dechlorinate it and then put the filter in. Would it be ok to do it this way??

You could set up the tank,fill & heat it up ready,but i would hang fire before putting the mature filter in there at the moment,has the media will die off before the eggs hatch.

Just pop an airstone in there for circulation.

Don't have an air stone. Will have to give my mom a tube and pay her to blow in the tank 24 hours a day, (ill try get one if i can)

Popping into the LFS tonight to actually get my two ordered corys so ill see if he has an air pump in there as i do actually have the stone! Its a Egyptian ornament thing but it will do. All about saving money!
