well I have been waiting and conditioning two of my fish for ages, my white female Princess and pastel pink male Tweek (male kept being goofy and snagged his fins so I had to let that heal) but they finally were ready!
got the tank all set up, her in the chimney, within 12 hours a nice bubblenest, the next morning, a good nest from him...and a tiny nest inside her chimney too
dont worry...I was positive she was a girl.
let princess out, swims right to the nest, adds more bubbles to it and then keeps trying to get Tweek to wrap her!
Tweek had no idead what to do at first, so Princess kept trying, and putting the eggs in the nest herself (I thought she was eating them at first) then Tweek got the idea finaly, and Princess is now resting alone and Tweek is guarding his nest.
in a panic when I first thought the female was going to eat all the eggs and I would loose all the babys, I sucked up a few quick and moved them to a seperate fry tank with shallow water. Tweek so far is being a good daddy and taking care of his babies, but I have 10 or so seperated so I wont get my heart broken if he forgets himself and eats all of his, as this is his first spawn. But it looks like he has a ton of eggs in his nest...I am soo happy.

It might help Dad if the water is a bit lower (about 6inches) so he doesn't have so far to go to pick up the babies when they drop down. Sygun was bobbin up and down like a mad thing when his hatched
