These were a violent pink, my sister wanted one on principle of pinkness but explained they may not be good..if I am wrong will let her know.

Didnt have any labels that I could see around the tank, they were luminscent. If so these are fabulous natural coloured fish!

no they died for some reason parrots seem to be a favourite fish to dye tell her not to buy the poor things

TBH her tank is too small, it is just a pink thing. She was immediately put off when explained how they dye the dish. I will leave her at the do not buy point. I know it is illegal to dye fish in this country but do not believe it is illegal to sell from imports :(

trying to think of pink fish but cant

or just thought a pink betta

Ohhh that would certianly please her and she has some guppies already so that would be a good choice. We weren't particularly after pink fish but she did love these, Im the "fish expert" out of the two of us which is saying something as I am only 6 months into the fish keeping and learning everyday. I guide her best as I can :) My main reason is these won't do good in a ..oh cant remember 10 or 14g.

Ask the staff at the store what kind of fish are they, then ask if they are dyed

Thanks for the suggestions :) I am going to make her wait two weeks with the fish she has for now, as unsure on their current stocking and they have female and male guppies.

Those are deffo dyed parrots IMO... I've seen that colouration in an LFS near me, alongside blue and purple. Not good, poor fishies :(

Well done for explaining :good: and i'm so glad she listened!! Hope you find another nice fish for her :)
