cheech and chong , altho very attractive lutinos were actually quite lame by oiscar standards , they didnt do that much , were too laid back and were finnicky fussy slow eaters . ronnie and reggie on the other hand at half the size cheech and chong were , are very outgoing and inquisitive , they like to dig around in the sand , watch tv etc and have that real oscar appetite. they eat literally anything i giv em . pellets , mealworms, prawn, peas etc they love it all. today they had pellets for breakfast , have just had mealworms for lunch and will get either peas or prawn for tea depending on what i come to 1st in the freezer .

they experienced theif 1st waterchange today and altho they got a little scared they soon got over it and were begging for food again within an hour . sometimes they are a bit slow to notice the food if its the pellets or mealworms , both of which float , but it wont be long before they learn lid open = food and sit waiting at the end food gets dropped in.

combine all of this with the nicer colours etc and im glad i decided to do the swap .

Mark, Ronnie and Reggie do look nicer than the lutino's, too right it won't take them long to work out feeding time  looking forward to seeing these grow.

Are you meant to feed oscars quite often? i feed mine pellets once a day and they go nuts for them and always seem to want more but im afraid of over feeding.

thanks graphic5 . i agree tigers are deffinately much nicer looking . these 2 have much more character too . :good:

juveniles i give 3 smaller feedings per day , adults require feeding less .
