Wheres the line here? I did a 125L water change in my 350L. My tank sists at 25c added some prime and put the hose in what i didt expect was the temp to drop to 20c. It does have a 200w & 300w so its only taken 4hrs to get back to 25c. I know a slight drop is drop is good for them but where's the line?

I can't see that doing too much harm if I'm honest, rainfall in the wild will cause temperature fluctuations, if it were me aid aim for a drop of no more than 2-3[sup]o[/sup]C.

Might be a can of worms here but why do we float the fish when new then? most tank are 24c (common fresh water i mean) it will only be a 2-3 c drop just floating bags. I always float for 20 min then change water of the bag -20% from the bag and add 20% from tank wait 20 min the do a -50% and add 50% tank water another 20 min wait before i let them in the tank, but some ppl just just float and realese

It can further stress an already stressed fish, balancing the difference in water chemistry is more important IMO.

hence introducing tank water into the bag bit by bit.
its is all about water chem.

it is said to be possible to kill a fish by changing the water quality too fast too.
