There's something else growing in my tank...

I haven't noticed it until today, but there's something growing in my 2.5 gallon with my Betta. I don't know what it is, but it looks kind of like dust or spiderwebs after you've thrown a rock at it. It's only become a problem since I've moved my snails into my 10 gallon.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as as Emergency, but I'm worried that there's something wrong with my tank that could harm my fish.

I think I'll move my snail back in the mean-time and see what happens.

It almost sounds like the cotton looking stuff that starts growing on un-eaten food. I've seen pellets covered in the stuff after 2 days.

I would watch the betta closely to see if he is eating all his food. The snail was probably scavenging the un-eaten food.

How much and what do you feed your betta?

I figured out what it was.

It was dust collecting on the opposite side of the tank.
