some one i know orderedone off this site said the first arived dead the second was ok. great looking bettas she breads tho :good:

She imports and she posts on here generally her shop is thought to be a good one and people on here often order from her. Posting fish is fine if done correctly

Posting is fine, and i would not hesitate to purchase from the betta lady, very polite and helpful and she has some stunning fish (unfortunatley i dont have a tank ready to house one lol)

haha no Ive just put some up on ebay myself

DOA's can happen, but thankfully its not too common. Its all about getting the fish prepared for shipping well in advance. We try and keep them as stress free as possible and then starve for 24hrs before shipping to reduce waste being produced. We also add a small piece of IAL (Indian Almond Leaf) which helps reduce stress.
Bear in mind that virtually every single fish you see for sale at your LFS has been shipped from the breeder/fish farm to the suppliers and then to the LFS.
Bettas are probably one of the easiest fish to ship due to the fact they are surface breathers :good:
Like Wilson said, I believe that thebettaladys fish she has for sale at present are Imported. I believe she has spawns planned or on the go though.

I bought George from there, and he arrived in perfect condition and was eating within 10 minutes of being released. His appetite was insatiable!! They are stunning fish and if you don't mind paying a higher price than you would in a LFS (because you know you are getting very well looked after/very good condition fish) then by all means, buy one from her.
(Note to devon_charm: told you I'd sell your website when I could...lol)

I bought cooper from shell and he is beautiful. He arrived in great condition considering he'd been through the postal service. I would definately buy from shell again, just waiting for the right fish to pop up lol
