In another post I was crowing about my lone Angelfish and how nice I thought “he” was . I also said how “he” was eating algae off the glass like a parent Angelfish picking a spawning site clean . Not ten minutes ago I went in to feed and I see this ! Are those eggs ? They look like it to me but no ovipositor on the fish .

Have you ever heard of such a thing ? I never have . I was always told that an egg laden fish absorbs its own eggs when no mate is present .

Lone Cichlids, or pairs of female Cichlids lay unfertilized eggs all the time. If I were a real angel expert I'd be able to read what she wrote with those eggs, but it may just be a grocery list for what she wants for supper.
