Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a while. How's everyone doing?

I have one of those stick on thermometers attatched the the glass at the front of the tank, there are usually three coloured boxes, one blue, one green and one red.
They seem to follow each other upwards when the temperature increases. Anyway, the green coloured box is usually the one that I focus on and it is usually at 75-78 degrees farenheit. I then did a water change, a day or two later the temperature has gone up to 86 degrees farenheit. So I decided to take the heater out and turn it down one place. This after about 40 hours still has had no effect on the temperature of the water.

Should I be worried?

Its probley because the ambiant temperture of the room is higher than normal due to the hot weather.
I shouldnt worry to much, depending on the tanks occupants.
