I have a 12 gallon tank and I have two platys and 4 x-ray tetras and I have a little room left 4 one or two more fish.

I always wanted a blue dwarf gourami, thats what I had in mind. I really wanted a fish with colors and/or flowing fins. Could u help me pick?

A dwarf gourami may nip at your other fish since 12 gallons is a bit small. Many would argue with me, however I had one in a 15 gallon and he bugged the crap out of my other fish until I moved him to a 30. I wouldn't recommend one, sorry. :( You can try it, although he may not get along with the others. However, if you have a fry problem, he can fix that right up! :D

I'd go with guppies (if you want smaller fish and your tank is stable), mollies (livebearer that comes in colors, some with cool tail designs) or even another platy (some platies have awesome coloration and patterns... ask your LFS to order some rare or different color strains). :)

I wouldn't mind another livebarrer but there usually the only fish I have.

Good idea chibi but guppies give me lotz of probs.

I have a male dwarf gorami in a 10 gallon, man what an impressive fish! I have it with a female, 3 scissortails, 1 endler an 2 corys, I haven't seen any aggresssion.

I think I'm going to get that dwarf gourami. Should I get a female, just to be safe? Do they have any fav foods or plants, rocks ect. ?

Here are some old pics, I show u new ones when I get the gourami.
