I've got used to the 'yellow' now - the 350 has loads of tannin in anyway (something to do with nearly £100 worth of bogwood!)

I think I will have a look soon as the tubes are about 8 months old now...

I'm sure I'll find a non planted tank to use the cast offs on :)

jimbo... yep that was the small ziplock bag of moss - gone wild - I need to move it back soon - but the java fern was not doing too well in the 350 and it needed a boost

that is very interesting. how long has the java moss been in the trigon with the dennerles? did it take off after putting it in there.

in my 40G (2.5WPG) it just gets swamped with algae but in the cube it looks perfect (cube is 1.2 WPG).

not sure what tubes the 350 has - its still running the standard tubes.
I dont ad ferts or co2 to the 350 - I feel its too big for be to do well

It's got low light plants in it, along with spare trimmings from the planted tank and thats it. Anubis, java fern and moss and now the amazon (its been in there 2 days and its getting eatenat quite a rate!)

The moss has been in the 350 for about 6 weeks. It did all its growing in the planted tank but the 'frilly' fern i had in the 350 wouldnt fit in the planted tank as well so i swapped them.

The planted tank has 2 dennerles (24" - 18Watt I think) with reflectors.
over about 120l ... about 2WPG as a quick calc... other plants did suffer with the hair algae but the moss seemed to be ok :)

sorry getting confused here. the pic above with the yellow tinge to it (dennerle) with the moss in it. isn't that the 350? you just said it had standard tubes. i'm all puzzled old chap

You're not the only one  I'm all confuzzled too !

ahh got it. the rectangular tank (the messy overgrown one) has the dennerles, the trigon has standard tubes but the camera is playing tricks on us. i'd guess it doesn't look that yellow in the flesh.

Ahhh I get it now ! It looked as if the Trigon had the Dennerle (with the yellow tinge) but it must be the bogwood :)
