ok, after doing some research, and hanging around here, i have set my goals.

- I have my eye on this 165 gal tank, with stand, and hood, down at my lfs. The tank is all glass and will set me back about eight Ben Franklins.

- I also decided to go with a sump. I won't be doing any custom work, i'll buy one, with refrigium and skimmer, for about $350. And i don't want to drill, i like the overflow box thingy.

- For my subtrate, 1 bag of live sand, and the rest good old argonite. I'm aiming for a good 4 and a half inches.

- As far as live rock, I will by $100 worth cured, from one part of the world, and another $100 from another part of the world. The rest will be base rock, that i hope will become seeded in time.

as far as live stock goes, after i get the water right, i'll break the tank in with:
- 1 Ocellaris Clown
- 1 White Stripe Maroon Clown
- 1 Gold Stripe Maroon Clown

eventually i hope to also have the following, as far as fish:
- 1 Blue Hippo Tang
- 1 Achilles Tang
- 1 Powder Blue Tang
- 1 Blue Neon Goby
- 1 Gold Neon Goby
- 1 Yellow Watchman Goby
- 1 Blue-Green Chromis
- 1 Cuban Hogfish

when it comes to inverts, i want a basic package of snails and hermits plus:
- 1 Emerald Crab
- 1 Arrow Crab
- 1 Pom Pom Crab
- 1 Decorator Crab
- 1 Pistol Shrimp
- 1 Peppermint Shrimp
- 1 Pinchusion Urchin

I estimate this will all take me about a year, or more, to achieve, and will cost me around 3 grand.

When it comes to corals and anemones, i have decided not to touch em, for atleast a good while, for two reasons:
1) I realized i don't like em that much
2) I'm a rookie

please tell me what you think, and give me some advice.

Beware the powder blue tang. You have the tank to support one at 165gal, but they are more advanced and difficult to keep than most corals. Not to mention it would get in fights with the hippo all the time
