well at long last after 3 years of wanting one i finally get one and it was free from my mate who owns an lfs...he is barly over 1.5" so i am putting him in my 125 to grow out until he is big enough to go in with my bichir. i will be getting pictures later on.

ano and he is sorting me out an L200(green phantom plec) for £35 as well im picking that up tomorrow they are stunning fish as well...well i added him to my 125 thinking there will be some grief with him and the keyhole and the block head and there is but they are just sniffing round and he is giving them some back so all will be good hopefully :D al get some pics when i turn the lights on in a couple of hours just gonna let him settle down

Glad you have him.

I used to have an green phantom, lovely things, not too shy either. Poop like nothing on earth though.

yea they are stunning not too cheap either but i manage to get cheap fish now with pual getting all the rarer species in i get em for almost what he pays for them. well i am gonne leave it for a couple of hours with the light off then switch em on and get some snaps. he seems settled in alread he is chasing the rainbows about and swimming round a lot

well here are the pics not the best at the moment but better than none

what ya think guys

i used to think like that until paul my mate who owns an aquatic store said he can get hold of one and promised me it for free so i snatched his hand off for the offer :D

Such a good looking fish  .

Do you know if it's true these guys are more peaceful than regular JD's?

If they can get on with corys...I'd love to get one, read an article on them in PFK ages ago and think they look fantastic.

Good luck with them they are very sensitive. I got my two to about 4" then they started getting eye problems and stuff.

well i am keeping an eye on things and i think if you keep up with water changes then i think they are the same as other fish...as for the aggression matter they appear more docile than the reg. jd's but they are still too aggressive for a community IMO mine is 1.5" and he has only just been introduced and he is chasing the rainbows around i am planning to grow him on to about 3-4" then transfer him to my 55

Very nice. The coloring on it is very nice compared to a lot of EBs. You got a great deal!

thanks everyone for the comments :D

well i just picked up my L200 today and he/she is a stunner :D here is a pic

I had my lfs tracking a pair of breeding ebjd for 15 months, before I got mine. It was around 1" in size and cost £40 - unfortunatley, it died some weeks later and I ended up going getting another one as there were just 2 left.

It looked like yours, and has now grown quite a bit, their colouring will change with mood. Sometimes, it is electric blue and black, other times, just shades of electric blue.

Lovely fish
