well since we are talking how important it is to have a water test kit, i think it is also important for newbies and others who don't have a betta first aid kit to stock one just in case a betta gets ill.

with my violet having who knows what, i have put her in a hospital tank and have medicated her. since this is my first emergency treatment, who knows if i am doing the right thing but i think i got my betta first aid kit ready with the following items:

API's Aquarium Salt
AP's QuICK Cure
Jungle's Parasite Clear Tank Buddies
Jungle's Fungus Clear Tank Buddies
Aquarium Solutions Betta Revive
Splendid Betta BettaFix Remedy (which is the same thing as the MELAfix)
API's MELAfix
API's PIMAfix

I do have plenty of API's StressZyme and Stress Coat.

Is there anything else that I could possibly need?

Now hopefully I can get Violet to her natural, happy, healthy self.

You know I saw those this morning but I was thinking that the Parasite Clear and the Fungus Clear would basically be the same thing so I opted not to get it.

There was something else called Gel-something but it seemed like a similar result product that I bought the Jungle products for as well.

At least most of these meds were under $5 a piece.

That sounds like an excellent first aid kit! I thought I would mention about the melafix/pimafix that bettas can have a negative reaction to the meds, so you should treat with a half dose instead of a full dose. The bettafix is basically a lower dose version of melafix, if I remember right, so that would be okay.
