i'm having this with my new tank(25gallon) it's already been cycled and has had fish in for about a month my other two 10Gallons seem to be crystal clear though! this has me stumped. i can't get rid of it and i have a pleco and a snail in there and they seem to be out run with it . it covers everything, makes it a gross green and i have to clean it all out every week if i want to fight it, but this stuff puts up a good fight and is almost impossible to get off !! all of my gravel and accessories in front of the filter outflow are covered and the rest isn't sooo bad but still there seems to be something wrong. if anyone has any answers do tell because i feel i may be doing something wrong tank wise because of my success with the others. thanks alot

if a picture would help i could get one pretty easily but i don't know if it would. it is pretty bad though

How big is the plec?

What is the Nitrate level of the tank?

What lighting does the tank have?

Does it get any direct sunlight?

the plec is now pretty small (about 3 inches) but it's dosen't even seem to put a dent in it! lol! the nitrates are but i never really considered the lighting.....this will sound crazy but, i'm ushing 3, rather large, incondescent lights that i rigged up to a coat rack that hang about 2 feet above the tank. i think i'll go take a picture after a waterchange and i'll post it on here for you to see. as for the sunlight...... not much if any. it's against the wall in my room. i hope this narrows down the possibilites . i'll go do my changes and i'll get some pictures
