after reading george farmers article in pfk :good: im going to setup the little tank for plants. using the e.i method.

ive tried setting up a diy co2 system using the 2 liter bottles, i didnt use brass nipples and there is a leak in the system. should i buy a nutrifin system (in the pinned article) and use half a teaspoon of yeast? also how big is the ladder and would it fit in the little tank.

is 22 watts enough light?

The ladder will fit in the tank, i have a 10 inch high tank and it just fits in that and the pfk nano cube is 12 inches high.

Start with a 1/4 tsp. of yeast in such a small volume of water, the mixture will last longer too.

22w is good for most plants over a 12" cube. I assume it's 2 x 11w compact fluorescent?

Good luck. I hope to see many PFK cubes planted up in the not too distant future!

Look out for a future mini-series on planted nanos in PFK. ;)

yup ive got 2 of the compact lights. i thought about getting an interpet t5 starter for the extra power but decided to go for the easy option.
