Thank you to those that gave me advice about my Betta's injured fins, especially Lilfishie. I ended up moving him from his ten gallon home temporarily (so he is not tempted to play too much) and put him in a 3 gallon hospital tank. I have been treated him with Bettafix, and 5 minute daily saltbaths. Unfortunatly his tank isn't filtered, but I did get a small heater for it, and I am doing daily water changes to help promote healing. His tail has made a huge improvement in the 3 days I have been treating him. The spilt in his tail went all the way to his body, and it is now only halfway up his tail. That is almost a cm smaller than it was!!! Oh and despite moving to a new tank, he is happy, active, eating well, and even built me a rather large bubble nest! Looks like my little Rockstar is going to make a full recovery! Thank you!

And on a different note, this isn't the first time I have gotten spectacular advice from this forum. Thank you to all the members for being so willing to distribute your knowledge, and keep the hobby fun for all people, including us newbs who don't know any better. I got my first fishtank not knowing anything, and now I have thriving communities of happy, healthy fish. :)
