Hi all

Going to put my APS 1000 in my spare snail tank so need someting to run along side my internal jewl filter (Rio 350L)

I dont mind the looks of the internal filter and it house huge amounts of bacteria but lets be honest it cant filter 350L of water on it own so ill will put the external on the other side where my APS sits now.

With a budget of £80-100 i came up with TetraTec, I assume when filled with media i might get maybe 600-700LPH flow with another 600L from the internal.

Google some reviews and look good for the money but can any users confirm they are decent for the money?

Also do they come with media and pipes all the online stores show a pic of them but none that i saw say they are included?

Thanks Al

Tetratec's are fantastic filters, the taps are a bit flimsy but other than that they're excellent, they come with all media and pipework.

Thanks again, In honesty i was just about to go with the daddy FX5 but the dustbin wont fit in the dam cabinet LOL

It looks like your mind might be made up already. But I just bought a Tetratec 1200 and so far it is absolutely brilliant! Might almost be the best filter I've had.

Thought i would bump this thread as it might offer some help to others.

I have no problems with APS filters and i would have got another BUT....Tetratec are far far better i cant strees enough the build quilty is far better. you get more media and the plastic is not as fragile. I paid £85 in P&P for the Tetratec 1200 and the APS 2000 would be £70 Pay the extra guys please, hope it help someone :good:

couldnt agree more with this. as cheap as the APS filters are they are a great bargain but you do get what you pay for and for £15 more i would also go for the tetratec out of the 2 :good:
